The GDVGA Inc. is privileged to have been chosen to host this year's VVGA State Championship which will take place at The Sands Golf Resort, Torquay on 3rd and 4th October.

The GDVGA is delighted to announce that it has secured sponsorship for this event from Surf Coast Shire, Geelong Connected Communities, Callaway and Niagara. We are very pleased to be working with this group of sponsors and to showcase what this part of Victoria has to offer residents and visitors alike.

Entry forms for the Championship are available from this website and from District Secretaries of the VVGA  and are also available for download from the VVGA website at Parmaker.com.au.

Accommodation options are plentiful in Torquay and surrounding towns and special rates have been negotiated with Peppers Resort at The Sands, Torquay for those who want to be right on the doorstep of the event activities. Any competitor wishing to stay at The Sands should contact the hotel direct and quote reference 133615.

For a list of some alternative accommodation options in Torquay click here.

As part of the entry fee we have been able to arrange for The Sands to make available it's fleet of 50 motorised carts for those competitors who require one. Private carts and ride on machines are not permitted on the golf course at The Sands.

For those wishing to stay beyond the dates of the Championship there is plenty to see and do within a reasonable drive of Torquay from The Great Ocean Road down as far as The Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge to the historic Bellarine Towns of Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale. The region has become well known for its cool climate wines and there are plenty of good eateries in the Surf Coast, Bellarine and Geelong areas.
